The estimate was made by the director general of the National Statistics Institute (INE), José Calengue, quoted by Jornal de Angola, as part of preparations for the country’s second General Population Census, to be held in 2024, predicting that the result of the data will determine the existence of more than 35 million inhabitants. Luanda, 05 jul 2022 (Lusa) – Apenas 42% dos angolanos têm atualmente acesso à eletricidade, percentagem que fica abaixo dos 10% em três províncias do interior, refere um estudo hoje apresentado.   O documento elaborado pela Associação Lusófona de Energias Renováveis (ALER) apresenta uma panorâmica sobre as energias renováveis em Angola, país que pretende atingir uma taxa de eletrificação de 50% até 2025 e que prevê um crescimento na procura que deve chegar aos 7,2 gigawatts.  A situação atual caracteriza-se pelo baixo nível de eletrificação já que pouco mais de 42% dos angolanos têm acesso a energia elétrica, dos quais 37,8% através de ligação à rede elétrica nacional.
